DEVELOPMENT OF NEW CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE PILE METHOD
Toe resistance of cast-in-place concrete piles are weaker than that of driven concrete piles. A new cast-in-place concrete pile method has been developed for improving this shortcoming. This method has an effect of toe resistance improvement by divided ring including at pile toe. In this paper, the basic mechanism of this method, intruding machine performance and effect evaluation of toe resistance improvement are explained. Results of comparative loading tests of developed and conventionall cast-in-place concrete piles are also stated. From test results, the effect of toe resistance improvement of this method is proved satisfactory.
