PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO THE U.S. TECHNICAL ADVISORY GROUP IN ITS PARTICIPATION ON THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE ON SHIPBUILDING. TECHNICAL REPORT

The objective of this project was to provide support for involvement of U.S. representatives in the International Standards Organization (ISO) Committee on Shipbuilding (TC-8). The aim was to assure creditible presence of the U.S. shipbuilding and repair industry in the making of international standards in order to ensure global competitiveness. ISO TC-8 Committee meetings and related meetings attended by the U.S. Delegates as a result of this project were: ISO TC-8 17th Advisory Committee Meeting, Delft, Netherlands, October 14-17, 1991; U.S. TAG Chair, Administrator and Secretariat meeting in New York, April 30, 1992; First International Conference on Ship Design, Production, Safety and the Environment at Delft, Netherlands, May 30 - June 6, 1992; and ISO TC-8 18th Advisory Committee Meeting, Odense, Denmark, October 16-23, 1992.
