HEAVY-DUTY TRUCKS IN CRASHES, NASS 1979-1986. NHTSA TECHNICAL REPORT
This report is based on data gathered in the National Accident Sampling System (NASS) during the period from 1979 through 1986. In 1988, the data on heavy trucks were compiled from the annual NASS files into a stand-alone file. In 1991-1992, under the impact of the increased general interest in truck safety, the tabulations of pertinent data were extracted from that file and are presented here.
