AN ANALYSIS OF THE PERFORMANCE OF PASSENGER ELEVATORS IN TA RAPID TRANSIT STATIONS
This review found that passenger elevator service is often undependable. The 23 elevators frequently break down, often trapping passengers between mezzanine and platform levels. The review concluded that the TA has not committed adequate funds for passenger elevators, many of which are overage and need extensive refurbishment to achieve a state of good repair. The TA should ensure that elevator preventive maintenance is performed according to its own requirements.
