QUALITY CONTROL AND PROTECTION OF PRODUCTION AND CONSTRUCTION BUILDINGS OF CONCRETE . PROTECTION OF CONCRETE. PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE, SEPTEMBER 11-13, 1990

Quality control and protection of reinforced concrete constructions include, inspection, study and checking on the stress-strain state with the help of test equipment, flaw detection and flaw systemization of construction, the use of different methods to study the state of construction and the factors promoting the beginning of cracks and corrosion processes and the development of protective measures and carrying out reconditioning of reinforced concrete structural elements. Reinforced concrete constructions were studied in a process of their production, mounting and use. During the investigation a systematical method of approach was used to efficient correction, production and use control with the purpose of providing favourable stress-strain state of construction, non-admission of critical stress values, strains and cracking. The possible external action and internal state were also taken into account. In excess of critical values of the stress-strained state and in presence of flaws and corrosion, the reconditioning is offered to increase quality and durability of construction. (Author/TRRL)
