FLAVORS AND MIXINS OF EXPERT SYSTEM TCHNOLOGY TRANSFER MODEL FOR AEC INDUSTRY

A technology transfer model for expert systems (ES) is presented. The ES T sup 2 beta model is presented first, and the methodology to validate it is described. A model of factors affecting the adoption of ES technology is presented. Next, a refined ES T sup 2 model is presented. The latter identifies the required actions that managers should take at each stage of the process, as well as the flavors of the T sup 2 process itself. The paper then presents combinations of T sup 2 flavors, i.e. mixins, from which managers can choose in order to successfully introduce ES technology to their firms.
