TWO NEW MODELS FOR ASSESSING URBAN TRAFFIC CONTROL AND ROAD PRICING STRATEGIES
This paper outlines the new steady state traffic network model ASCOT (Assignment and COntrol of Traffic), which embraces route-choice, traffic control and road pricing. The paper also outlines another new steady state assignment model with explicit queueing. The paper consists of an introductory section on traffic control and four modelling sections: 1) traffis control without queues and without road prices; 2) traffic control with road prices and without queues; 3) traffic control with queueing and without road prices; and 4) traffic control with queueing and road prices.
