ATTENTION FOCUSED ON PASSENGERS: THE NEW ORGANIZATION OF THE RATP AND ITS ACCOMPANYING PEDAGOGY

"TOUS LES REGARDS TOURNES VERS LES VOYAGEURS": LA NOUVELLE ORGANISATION DE LA RATP ET SON ACCOMPAGNEMENT PEDAGOGIQUE

The RATP has learned from past experience to adapt to environmental evolution. At this European time, the future of a national company is both regional and international. It is a new stage in the modernization of the company, committed to strengthening its right to act as the public transport service in the greater Paris area and to develop its system within the framework of the Planning Scheme of the Ile-de-France region. To succeed in moving on from the creation of the means of transport to the offering of services (that is, multimodal passenger transport) requires a vigorous decentralization policy. In addition to the change in structures, this is an important evolution in the kind of qualifications and cultures to which the RATP is committed with a carefully adapted accompanying pedagogy at stake.
