POSTDENSIFICATION PENETRATION RESISTANCE OF CLEAN SANDS. DISCUSSION
This is a discussion of a paper of the above title by G. Mesri, T.W. Feng and J.M. Benak published in Vol. 116, No. 7, in July 1990. The discussers note that the discussions and equations of the paper are based on limited data, and present some results from a recent laboratory and field study of changes in stiffness and strength of cohesionless soils due to disturbance. The results are compared to the model presented by the authors. The discussion is followed by a closure by the authors.
