FLEET COMPUTER SYSTEMS: FACT AND FANTASY

Article describing what to realistically expect in a fleet computer system. By examining limits and parameters, the author explains how administrators can develop more realistic expectations of how the computer fits into a management scheme. The six parameters which define the capabilities of a fleet computer system in the context of fleet management decisions are: fleet vehicles, computer hardware, software, fleet history, data integrity, and human resources.
