SELF-REPORTED DRIVING WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS AND THE RISK OF ALCOHOL/DRUG-RELATED ACCIDENTS

There are two objectives in this report. First, to present new epidemiological data from a national representative sample of youth aged 18 to 24 on the prevalence and frequency of driving while impaired on alcohol or drugs and on the prevalence and frequency of alcohol/drug related accidents. Second, to examine the relationship between these behaviors and a wider set of problem behaviors which together may constitute a risk-behavior syndrome.
