INCREASED AIR BAG INSTALLATION WILL RESULT IN FEWER DEATHS
Trends in air bag installation are examined briefly in this article. Projections by Jerry Ralph Curry, administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, show that air bags will save 2,400 lives and prevent 29,000 moderate to serious injuries over a six-year span from 1990 to the end of 1995. These projections were based on manufacturers' plans and safety agency research.
