APPLICATION OF FERRO CEMENT SHELLS IN MARINE STRUCTURES
In marine structure ferrocement is used to construct hulls primarily. Vessels made of ferrocement show considerable durability, high impact resistance as well as low maintenance and service costs. The vessels may be produced by various methods starting from the simplest handicraft methods up to mechanized production of precast shell elements. The paper deals with discussion of composition and basic properties of ferrocement, with problems of its production and also with service experience and economic effects.
