The article briefly descsribes the details of in-place recycling which involves pulverizing the existing roadway, remixing the pulverized material with liquid asphalt, and redistributing the homogeneous mix to a new width, depth and slope. The recycling equipment is described: it has an optional (screed) attachment which allows the conversion into a single pass stabilizer road rehab system that eliminates the long and cumbersome 'recycle train' requirement. Cold mix recycling is considered an economical, clean, safe and fast technique that produces a high quality product. It is ideal for correcting pavement distress on low-to-medium traffic density roads and parking areas.
