OLD PIPE WORKED GREAT - ADD MORE OF THE SAME
Article describing Grand Rapids, Michigan and its 32-mile-long prestressed concrete cylinder pipeline (PCCP) from Lake Michigan. The current project, including expanding the Lake Michigan water treatment plant, will cost about $125-million and be completed by the fall of 1992. The 60-in. diameter PCCP, manufactured by Price Brothers Company of Dayton, Ohio, will deliver 75 mgd, enabling the community to continue meeting the needs of a growing population until at least 2020.
