RESEARCH ON FLOWABLE CONCRETE
This report assesses the sensitivity of the flow properties to temperature and water content of three proprietary materials. It also looks at the variation in flow properties from one batch to another of nominally the same material as well as between different materials. Other aspects investigated in the report include the effects of water/material ratio on the free drying shrinkage and on the pull-off strength between the substrate and the flowable concrete. The report comments on the dimensions of the flow trough and highlights the differing requirements in the flow test and soffit test. It also emphasises the difference between the soffit test and the way repairs are carried out on site.
