NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION AGENCY OF CANADA: ANNUAL REVIEW 1990

Annual review of the Agency which considers both the national and regional impact of all legiclation pertaining to the economic regulation of transportation, including changes in tariffs and level of service offered to shippers and travelers; changes in structure, performance and employment levels in the transportation industry; the Agency's record in handling complaints, applications and other matters referred to it; the effects of competitive line rates on railway companies; and the abandonment of railway lines. It presents an overview of Canada's economic performance for 1990, as well as details on rail, trucking, air, marine (Canadian international liner trade, northern marine resupply, Great Lakes package freight), intermodal services, transportation services for persons with disabilities, safety and employment.
