HAWAII TELEWORK CENTER: A PUBLIC/PRIVATE SECTOR JOINT VENTURE DEMONSTRATING INNOVATIVE WAYS TO REDUCE TRAFFIC CONGESTION

This booklet describes the Hawaii Telework Center demonstration project. The project is a public/private joint venture to reduce work commuting. It allows employees to work in a community work center equipped with computers, modems, fax and copying machines, and other state-of-the-art equipment. The project is also intended to reduce business travel and to provide businesses with increased opportunities to decentralize from the congested downtown area.
