The paper presented during this session, "Air Quality Impacts of a Regional HOV System", sketches out the development of travel demand models, travel forecasting practice, and the air quality impacts of the Year 2005 HOV Master Plan for the San Francisco Bay Area. These travel demand models and forecasts were prepared by staff of the regional transportation planning agency for the nine-county Bay Area, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC).
