CONGESTION MANAGEMENT. IN: COMPENDIUM OF TECHNICAL PAPERS. INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS, 61ST ANNUAL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 22-25, 1991, MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN
The two papers presented in this session are: California's Experience with Congestion Management Programs and Traffic and Parking Operations for Recurring Major Special Events. The first paper attempts to provide some practical guidance for government agencies that may be contemplating congestion management programs of their own, in hopes of avoiding some of the problems that have been encountered in trying to interpret and implement this program. The second paper provides a preliminary report on activities of an ITE Committee established to prepare an informational report on transportation planning for stadiums and arenas.
