We give an introduction to how existing methodology in Bayesian time series and Bayesian modelling can be applied to transportation data. We show how modifications to traditional Weibull plotting and modelling, hazard plotting and proportional hazards modelling can be made with resulting superior flexibility in the applicability of these techniques. An application is shown which allows analysis of the distance to first failure in each of 2 subsystems on 50 buses, and subsequent distances travelled to second failures. (TRRL)
