Experimental results on strength, drying shrinkage and creep of concrete with superplasticizer are presented. It is shown that the effect of superplasticizers on strength and time-dependent strains of concrete is complicated and depends on the content of superplasticizer in concrete mix and other variables. The multiplicative models for prediction of shrinkage and specific creep strains of normal-weight concrete without superplasticizer are obtained. The results of a multiple regression analysis (based on 280 experimental data) for concrete with superplasticizer are given. It is proved that the proposed models allow to predict the time-dependent strain of concrete with high accuracy independently of admixture addition. (Author/TRRL)
