PRACTICAL EVALUATION OF ALUMINIUM STORMWATER PIPE. FIFTH NATIONAL LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING CONFERENCE, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, 24-29 SEPTEMBER, 1989

HIFLO Ribbed Aluminium Stormwater Pipe is relatively new to Australia. The product is evaluated in relation to structural and hydraulic capacity, durability, installation requirements and economy. Full scale testing, field experience and acceptances by major specifying authorities are discussed. This product is shown to satisfy all the performance requirements for Local Government design and construction and, just as Fibre Reinforced Cement Pipe provides a competitive alternative to Steel Reinforced Concrete Pipe in diameters up to 600mm, Aluminium Stormwater Pipe allows drainage specifiers, designers and constructors a choice in the larger diameter range.
