DEFORMABILITY OF A ROCK MASS FORMED BY AN ANISOTROPIC ROCK AND CUT BY A JOINTING SYSTEM WITH ORTHOTROPIC SYMMETRY - APPLICATION OF THE THEORY TO A REAL CASE . PROCEEDINGS OF THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON SCALE EFFECTS IN ROCK MASSES, LOEN, NORWAY, JUNE 7-8 1990

A comparison is made of the values of the deformability modulus of a metamorphic rock mass, obtained by the large flat jack (LFJ) method and by the theory developed for anisotropic bodies with orthotropic symmetry. Research lines for achieving a better agreement of the values obtained are indicated. (Author/TRRL)
