IMPROVEMENT OF CONCRETE STRENGTH STATISTICAL CONTROL
The paper describes the interpretation of results of extensive research in the area of concrete strength control. The quality assurance system is discussed as well as criteria, the actual law of concrete strength distribution, and the rejection of gross errors. It is noted that the quality assurance system permits an essential decrease of the consumer's risk associated with the acceptance of a substandard concrete. In connection with the variety of structures and various degrees of their safety, the recommendation is made to provide several versions of acceptance criteria in the national codes. These and other conclusions drawn from the study are discussed.
