MONROVIA PUBLIC WORKS DESIGNS A PROTOTYPE TRUCK

This article describes a method for applying methacrylate street markings developed by the Monrovia, California Public Works Department. The public works staff designed an all-purpose stencil truck, dubbed "The One-Man Band." Methacrylate, long used by European eastern bloc cities, has a life expectancy of 3 to 10 years when applied at thicknesses of 30 to 120 mils.
