THE MINIBUS - SOME FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL OBSERVATIONS
A minibus is defined as: small (about 20 seats, but preferably slightly fewer); usually a van conversion to minimize cost; used to secure optimal financial return. The history of the development and use of the minibus in the UK in the years 1984-86 is given. Despite a falling away in its use in recent years, the minibus is likely to become a popular solution to many transport problems, once all the factors in its favour are taken into account.
