THE VITAL LINK: CHILDREN AND TRANSPORTATION

In the third of the "Vital Link" series the authors discuss the variety of transportation services required for children while also demonstrating community transit's crucial role. Community transportation plays a key role in providing access to programs such as Head Start, medical services and other basic life needs. Public and human service providers take children to developmental therapy, teenage pregnancy clinics, alcohol abuse counceling centers, youth programs, after school activities and social and recreational trips.
