MAGLEV REVISITED: IS EVERYBODY READY THIS TIME?
After a sixteen-year hiatus, U.S.maglev research is resuming. The article reviews some of the advances made by the Japanese and the Germans on the technology, and looks at the possibility of bringing some of that technology into the United States. Both the new funding and some of the currently planned U.S. projects are briefly discussed.
