WHAT'S AT STAKE FOR THE BUS INDUSTRY IN TORT REFORM
The article provides a brief review of the model bill called the Punitive Damages Due Process Act, drafted by the American Tort Reform Association. The bill raises the evidentiary standard required for punitive damages, limits awards for such damages, and adopts controls found adequate in a recent Supreme Court decision.
