COORDINATING TRAFFIC SIGNALS WITH TRANSIT SCHEDULING

The article discusses the variety of problems transit operators face when trying to coordinate their schedules with traffic signals. Today's technologies have been helpful, but are not yet sufficient in solving the problems caused by the unexpected. Examples are provided of specific scheduling problems, and a plea is made for brainstorming to find a satisfactory solution for these problems.
