EQUIPMENT USE CRITICAL TO BRIDGE INSPECTION. OPERATOR'S NOTEBOOK
The article describes how equipment, from simple hand tools to high-tech measuring devices, aids bridge inspectors in the critical task of ensuring the public safety. Underbridge inspection is described, and the issue of cost effectiveness is discussed. Fractures and other defects an inspector searches for are described. In-depth inspections with sophisticated devices are also described.
