THE INTERRELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PARCMAN AND OTHER DRIVE PROJECTS

The PARCMAN project consists of a comprehensive set of research and development activites that are designed to lead to a new and improved form of parking guidance and information (PGI) system. While each of these activites may benefit from interaction with other DRIVE (Dedicated Road Infrastructure for Vehicle Safety in Europe) projects, each is an independent activity. The report is organised into a number of sections. The characterisitics of existing PGI and the general aims and approach of the PARCMAN project, and the methodology used are outlined.
