COMPUTER SIMULATION OF EXPERIMENTS IN STRUCTURAL STABILITY. IN: STRUCTURAL STABILITY RESEARCH COUNCIL. 1990 ANNUAL TECHNICAL SESSION, STABILITY OF BRIDGES, ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, APRIL 10-11, 1990
The authors have developed computer simulations of experiments in the field of structural stability. The purpose of these simulations is the visualization of what one would see in a laboratory if one were to carry out the experiments. Thus far, two such simulation programs have been developed, the Stub Column Test for wide flange sections, and the Buckling Under Biaxial Loading Experiment for wide flange members. The latter experiment is described herein.
