ANALYSIS OF OCCUPANT RESTRAINT ISSUES FROM STATE ACCIDENT DATA. SECOND YEAR REPORT

This interim report covers the second year of a three-year project. It officially began May 1, 1987, and ended June 30, 1990. The topics include: (1) an update of some descriptive injury analyses utilizing data from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, (2) similar analyses utilizing four years (1985-1988) of data from Indiana, (3) time series analyses of injury trends for the states of Ohio and Louisiana, and (4) the results of a pilot effort to gather automatic belt use data in North Carolina.
