EXPERIENCES IN ANODE MATERIALS AND MONITORING SYSTEMS FOR CATHODIC PROTECTION OF STEEL IN CONCRETE. CORROSION OF REINFORCEMENT IN CONCRETE. PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON "CORROSION OF REINFORCEMENT IN CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION", BELFRY HOTEL, WISHAW, WARWICKSHIRE, MAY 21-24, 1990

The paper describes the behaviour of mixed metal oxide activiated titanium net for cathodic protection of reinforcing steel in chloride contaminated concrete, the change of the concrete pH around the anode surface at various values of anodic current density, the behaviour as reference electrode of a series of materials. A polymeric membrane probe is proposed as a "salt bridge" to minimize the ohmic drop errors in the measurements of the rebar potential with external reference electrodes.(A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 831449.
