CAIRNCROSS AND THE CHANNEL TUNNEL RAIL LINK

Bonavia, MA, PhD, who led BR's Channel Tunnel team until his retirement last year, explains how the political decision to divide responsibility between governments, financing companies, project managers, and railways prevented co-ordinated planning of the tunnel and its British and French rail links-in the end, a major factor in the British Government's decision to pull out of the project.
