THE SOUTH KARAVANKE TUNNEL VENTILATION DURING CONSTRUCTION. PROCEEDINGS - 1ST YUGOSLAV SYMPOSIUM ON TUNNELS, VOLUMES 1 AND 2

PROZRACAVANJE TUNELA KARAVANKE JUG U FAZI IZGRADNJE

The paper describes the construction of the tunnel through the southern part of the karavanke which consists mainly of carbon shale. Power is provided by diesel motors without explosive-proof electro-equipment. It also describes the system of ventilation used during tunnel construction and measurement of dangerous tunnel gas concentration. Measurement results of air quantity in pipes and ventilators are presented. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 829277.
