FRACTURE FAILURE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE UNDER BIAXIAL AND SYMMETRIC TRIAXIAL COMPRESSION COMBINED WITH TORSION. FRACTURE OF CONCRETE AND ROCK: RECENT DEVELOPMENTS. PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE, UNIVERSITY OF WALES, COLLEGE OF CARDIFF, SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, SEPTEMBER 20-22, 1989

On the basis of overall analysis and comparison between the results gained both at home and abroad, we have experimented and studied 53 elements under compression and tension. This paper suggests a formula expressed by ultimate tensile strain and average stress, states a formula to calculate the fracture strength, with considerations to the grade and softening of concrete, and a better coincidence has been obtained among the formulas and the test results, which may be used as reference for design and building code.(A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 829348.
