The overlying Devonian age rock includes dolomite, limestone, mudstone and shale. Brief details of the types of grouting methodologies used are provided. (Shaft pre-grouting, shaft and tunnel post grouting, and tunnel pre-grouting), as are details of field procedures. The latter includes sections on both the drilling operation, and the grouting operation, including washing of the grout holes immediately prior to the injection of the grout, and pressure testing.
