AN IDENTITY CHART FOR STEEL FIBRES. FIBRE REINFORCED CEMENTS AND CONCRETES: RECENT DEVELOPMENTS. PROCEEDINGS OF AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WALES, COLLEGE OF CARDIFF, SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, UNITED KINGDOM, SEPTEMBER 18-20, 1989
The influence of steel fibres on the characteristics of concrete is evaluated on the basis of bending tests. Various criteria are examined in order to evaluate the toughness of the steel fibre concrete. The relative increase of the Modulus of Rupture and the toughness value, compared with plain concrete, enables the steel fibres to be characterised and identified.(A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 827953.
