Effects of carbon fiber reinforcement and curing conditions on mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced cement were investigated. The flexural strength and impact resistance of cementitious materials were improved through reinforcement with carbon fibers. The compressive strength, however, is not much influenced by carbon fiber reinforcement. Hot water curing, especially at higher fiber volume fractions produced the best results.(A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 827953.
