GENERAL REPORT: STABILITY OF SLOPES AND EXCAVATIONS IN TROPICAL SOILS. GEOMECHANICS IN TROPICAL SOILS. PROCEEDINGS OF THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GEOMECHANICS IN TROPICAL SOILS, SINGAPORE, 12-14 DECEMBER 1988. VOLUME 2
Slopes and excavations in tropical saprolitic and residual soils present special problems to the designer. This general report summarizes factors which need to be considered in assessing stability in saprolites and laterites, and examines some of the engineering solutions adopted.(A) This paper includes an extensive bibliography. For the covering abstract see IRRD 820605.
