NOISY BRAKES: AN AGGRAVATING, SERIOUS PROBLEM

Article explaining why bus brake noise signifies a serious problem and an unsafe vehicle. Brake noise is usually due to fit difficulties with the suspension and brake spider. Discusses various reasons for brake noise such as: poor shoe-to-drum fit, bad spiders, loose cam shaft bushings and anchor pins, and excess cam shaft end play.
