ROCK STRENGTH CRITERIA
KRITERIJI CVRSTOCE STIJENSKE MASE
The article describes empirical rock strength criteria according to hock and brown. It also presents the principal elements of the griffith's and the Columbus' most frequently used strength criteria. Special attention is drawn to the wide applicability of the empirical criterion, based on the contemporary approach to the solution of the rock mechanics problems using rock classification. The use of this criterion in solving typical problems concerning rock mechanics is illustrated with several examples.
