INTERACTIONS BETWEEN NOISE, TEMPERATURE, WAKEFULNESS AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSED IN A SIMULATOR STUDY

The research was carried out in a driving simulator. Correlation analyses were carried out on the effects from noise and temperature on wakefulness and performance of subjects driving a simulator. Wakefulness was analysed through EEG recordings, performance was analysed through registration of speed-holding, road-holding and braking. A positive correlation in time was observed between EEG, pulse, speed-holding, road-holding and braking. The result is discussed in respect to the interaction between exposure to high levels of infrasound and fatigue and exposure to high levels of high frequency noise and alertness.
