IOWA'S LIVING ROADWAY

This newsletter is published periodically for Iowans concerned about preserving, protecting and improving the roadway environment. It is funded by the Living Roadway Trust fund (LRTF) and written by the staff of the Iowa Roadside Vegetation Management (IRVM) Coordinator's Office in the Iowa Department of Transportation. The LRTF was established by the Iowa Legislature to implement integrated roadside vegetation management on and adjacent to city, count and state rights of way. The IRVM Coordinator's Office Administers grant applications for planting projects, planning, maintenance, special equipment, public education, special staff training and increased protection for existing vegetation. This newsletter is one of the ways the LRTF distributes information about its activities.
