CAUTION CRITICAL IN MOWING RIGHTS OF WAY
The article offers tips by roadside managers that may help in keeping the risks of mowing at a minimum, and the mowing operation more efficient. New guidelines developed by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department are described. The guidelines reduced the acres mowed, and MHTD personnel do not mow steep hazardous slopes. Mowing height was also raised. Basic cautionary steps to be taken to ensure safety are listed. Equipment problem tips are also given.
