ELASTODYNAMIC GREEN'S FUNCTIONS OF ORTHOTROPIC HALF PLANE

An explicit analytical solution is presented for elastodynamic Green's functions of an orthotropic elastic half plane subjected to time-harmonic buried loadings. First, governing euqations are established in terms of displacements, and a general solution is obtained. Thereafter, solutions for displacements and stresses corresponding to a set of internal vertical and horizontal loadings are derived. Some characteristics of the analytical solution are discussed. Selected numerical results for displacements and stress are presented to show the influence of the degree of anisotropy, frequency of excitation, and type of loading on the response of the elastic half plane.
