LE AUTOSTRADE IN EUROPE

This survey updates the motorway situation in 26 european countries up to the end of 1988. The total length of motorways in service at this date was 39655 km (an increase of 2% on the previous year) covering 12 EEC countries (which contain 80% of the network) and 14 non EEC countries. Tables and graphs show the development of motorways and traffic for the 26 countries from 1972 to 1988.
